“Albana Dei” (Albana day) is the first wine competition reserved for wines made with albana grapes (dry).
The competition, created four years ago by an idea of the curators Carlo Catani and Andrea Spada, and organized by Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna takes place in two moments.Il first, reserved for the jury – composed of critics of the key industry guides, technicians and wine experts, sommeliers, wine trade – who have tasted blindly all the wines in the competition and selected the finalists, who then faced the popular opinion in the course of 5 events, held during the month of May in some of the villages and the most charming places of the Romagna.
Our two “dry” Albanas in competition, Vigna Rocca Vitalba 2015 and 2015, they both won the second place, with respect to, respectively in the category “Albana of the Heart” and “Albana of tradition”, one step (only a point!) from the top. Thanks to everyone who participated in giving their opinion !
